We will be offering Covid-19 vaccines in our vaccine clinics as well as in primary care and pediatrics offices. Starting in October, you may schedule an appointment for you or your child in MyChart. You may also call your primary care doctor or your child’s pediatrician; or you may receive the vaccine during an existing appointment.
Please note that we only offer Pfizer and Novavax Covid-19 vaccines. If you would prefer to receive a Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, we encourage you to go to a local pharmacy.
You may download a digital copy of your vaccination record at the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) website. If you are having trouble downloading your vaccination record, the CDPH has troubleshooting tips.
The federal government is no longer providing the vaccine. Healthcare providers are now receiving vaccine direct from the manufacturer. Health insurance plans are covering the vaccine; please check with your health insurance plan to ensure you are covered.
John Muir Health will bill health insurance plans for costs related to the vaccine and administration fee, which is why we ask for your health insurance information at the time of service; however, there is no charge to you.
Patients with no insurance, underinsured or MediCal can receive Covid-19 vaccine at locations that participate in the Bridge Access Program specifically addressing Covid-19 prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Please see Health Resources and Services Administration’s COVID-19 Uninsured Program if you do not have health insurance.
It's fine to get your flu vaccine and Covid-19 vaccine at the same time, though keep in mind that it's possible you may not feel well the next day. Because the RSV vaccine is new, however, there is little information on how it might interact with the other two vaccines. It's best to get an RSV vaccine at a separate time from your flu or Covid-19 vaccine.
