Nominations are now open for the MDEA Awards of Excellence. Anyone may submit a nomination to recognize, promote, and celebrate the excellence of MDUSD employees and community members. Individuals may be nominated for the following awards:

Outstanding Achievement in Teaching (5 awards)
•Leadership & Courage
•Creative Curriculum
•Most Inspirational
•Community Involvement
•Lifetime Achievement

Awards for Staff Members, Supporters, and Community Members:
•Outstanding Classified Employee
•Outstanding Administrator
•Outstanding Parent Volunteer (serving our MDUSD schools)
•Outstanding Volunteer Organization (serving our MDUSD schools)

•Social Justice (individual or small team acting to improve equity, racial justice, diversity, and inclusion in our MDUSD schools)

•Outstanding Collaborating Team - (This award is given to a small group of individuals collaborating to improve student learning. In nominating a group for this award, please give the name of the team in the "NAME" field and list each individual team member in the attachment.)

Please note that awards will not be given in any category with less than 3 nominations

Nominations are due Tuesday, February 28th.

The MDEA Awards of Excellence will be held on Thursday, May 11th at Centre Concord.
