This spring, the Briarcrest PTA will be electing officers for the 2023-2024 PTA year. We are looking for nominees in the following positions: President, Vice President, and Secretary.

You may be a better fit for an open officer role than you think! So, if you are curious about any of the open positions, the general descriptions of each role are listed below and here is a link to a helpful Q & A our current officers recently did about their experience in each role:

Who can run for a PTA office? Any current PTA member can run for an open office. To be eligible for election to any of the open positions, candidates must have been a member of any PTA in the state of Washington for at least 15 days prior to being elected (election date: TBD). Membership scholarships are available.

President (Presides at all meetings, acts as PTA spokesperson, appoints committee members, maintains system logins and passwords.)

Vice President (Presides at meetings if president is absent, acts as assistant to president.)

Treasurer (Maintains financial records, prepares and presents financial reports, and is responsible for various document filings. This position is usually held for two years.)

Secretary (Maintains meeting minutes, member roster, legal documents notebook, and correspondence requested by president. This position is usually held for two years)
