The D91 Parent Athletic Association (PAA) is looking to start up its basketball and cheer program again. The PAA is a volunteer recreational basketball and cheer program for 3rd-6th grade students that are enrolled in District 91 schools. Children play sports to have fun, make new friends and learn new skills. In the PAA, children learn to work together, develop sportsmanship in victory and defeat and prioritize physical fitness and health. The PAA promotes positive coaching and player development. Open registration and balanced teams ensure that everyone plays and is part of the team. If possible, both girls and boys teams are offered at each level in basketball. The cheer team is one combined team of grades 3-6. In the past, the PAA has competed in games and tournaments with area schools. District 91 hosted a tournament Thanksgiving Weekend. Practices were held twice a week in the evening (6:00 pm or later) at either KG or MG.
The current PAA board would like to gauge student/family interest for the 21-22 season. In order to put a plan together, we need to gather information from our families. We are open to an official season competing against other schools or a building season working with the lower grades, so we are ready for next year. The PAA is in need of players and volunteers for every aspect and level of the organization.
Thank you for completing the survey. Once we have analyzed the data, more information will be forthcoming.
