Open Positions

Vice President- This job is not as scary as it sounds, we promise! If you like working with amazing people who get their jobs done, and collaborating with them and staff to help create opportunities for the students of SC, this is the job for you! You will get to shadow the President in all of their activities... mostly in meetings and via email. We'd love your attendance at as many in-person events as possible, such as the Back to School BBQ, football games, 8th grade night, and the annual spring fundraiser. Not all are requried but Boosters are encourage to attend to show support and spirit. This position is asked to attend monthly board meetings. If unable to attend, they'll need to send a board report.

Volunteer Coordinator(s) - Work with team members to ensure we have events listed in SignUp Genius and ready for fall events like our Fall Football game BBQs and Merch sales, Winter concessions sales shifts, and Spring Auction committee help. This role is slightly more intensive around football season, winter sports, and a spring auction. Please work with the amazing Andy Denney to get students plugged into volunteer opportunities and work with our Activities Liaison to get parent volunteer support where needed. It can be shared for a lighter load! All board members help get volunteers, so there is lots of support. This position is not required to attend monthly board meetings but is encourage to come to stay appraised of volunteer needs. This can also be done via email.

Communications Chair(s) - Want to contribute but also do something from the comfort of your own home? This job is your perfect fit! Often we have folks who work PT or FT take this role. They field requests from the board and committee chairs to post onto our Instagram account (which automatically posts to Facebook - easy peezy!) And they will do updates to our Google site, this one, which is super easy and as simple as working with MS Word! If you are interested you'll be trained by either or both Missy Liu and Myrna Habermann and they'll both be on the board next year and can help with whatever's needed along the way! This position is not required to attend monthly board meetings.

Football BBQ Coordinator - Every home football game, Boosters organizes an onsite BBQ that starts about an hour before the game until the end of the 1st quarter. Each game, we have a different grade representing and working the BBQ. Their tasks are mailing taking orders, money and passing food to those waiting for their orders. We are looking for someone to help coordinate the student volunteers, as well as those who are cooking the food. You will work with Johanna Phillips to get a list of students who will be coming for each home game, and designate their time of arrival for training. And you will work with the Volunteer coordinator to create a sign up for all home games. Typically we have 2 cooks/bbqs, and 3 back up adults with food prep and backing up students.  This position is not required to attend monthly board meetings.

Football BBQ Shopper - Every home football game, Boosters organizes an onsite BBQ that starts about an hour before the game until the end of the 1st quarter. We are looking for someone to help coordinate purchasing food from Costco for each of our 4 home games. We have a designated location for where we cook and all the supplies are currently being stored at Shorecrest. Before the 1st home game of the year, we'll have an all-hands on deck to get items to the statdium. Shopping at Costco may sound daunting but we made it easy this year and for future shoppers. We have a business Costco account so you can order the food online and have it delivered to your doorstep! All you need to do is get that food to the stand, plus 6 bags of ice, for the Coordinator! All items purchased outside of Costco will be reimbursed with a form and receipt. This position is not required to attend monthly board meetings.

Spring Fundraiser Chair(s) - Our "Turning Green Into Gold" spring fundraising event on April 6 was a huge success! We have all the things we did written down for you so if you want to learn the ropes, please let us know! This is a job that will likely start with prelim meetings in early November. You'll be trained/guided by Myrna Habermann and some of the auction team members who were on the committee this Spring.  We encourage you to get a friend to co-chair this event with you. You are not required to come to monthly Board meetings. But we will need a board report if you do not attend, or you can choose to come attend during or send a representative from your team.

Grant Program Chair - Coordinate with the Activities Liaison Coordinator to ensure clubs that volunteer get their percentage of the concessions income, manage the application process with the school in the Fall and the Spring, and coordinate with Treasurer and school board process for administering checks. A fun job as we have the systems and processes set up, and you need to be organized and like giving money away! You are not requried to come to monthly board meetings, but, we ask that you attend those meetings where we are discussing Grants specifically.
