Dooley Elementary PTA is a partnership between school staff and parents to help make every child's potential a reality. The PTA at Dooley works to support literacy, foster community and show appreciation to staff and students.  We cannot do this without the help of parent volunteers.  Please let us know if you are interested in helping with or leading the charge for any of these committees.

Audit/監査           The PTA’s financial records are audited at the end of the fiscal year (middle to end of July).         年に1度、会計年度末（7月中旬～下旬）に会計記録を監査します。

Auction Baskets (STC)/オークション景品準備(STC)    For the annual STC Scholarship Dinner, the Dooley PTA prepares four baskets for the auction fundraiser for scholarships for graduating seniors. Each basket has a theme, and the items can be donated or purchased within the budget designated by the PTA. シャンバーグ・タウンシップ・カウンセル（STC）主催の卒業生奨学金資金援助のためのオークションの際、ドゥーリーPTAよりテーマに沿った景品（寄付か購入）を４点準備します。

Birthday Book Club/バースデー・ブック・クラブ      Each student is invited to select a book from the Birthday Book Club in his or her birthday month. This committee selects and purchases books. 誕生月の生徒に「バースデーブッククラブ」からプレゼントする本を選び、ランチ時に贈呈のイベントを企画します。

Book Fair/ブックフェア                                                    Book fairs (Scholastic) are held at fall and winter parent- teacher conferences and at the end of the year. Students review the books during school and will be sure to let their parents know what they are interested in! Dooley receives a portion of the proceeds (and some books for classrooms). Scholastic社の書籍を学校内にて販売します。秋・冬の面談時と年度末に開催されます。生徒達は授業中、事前にフェアを訪れ欲しい本を選び父兄に知らせるようにしています。収益の一部が学校へ寄付され、その額により各教室に本が寄贈されます。

Box Tops/ボックストップ                                                The Box Tops coordinator promotes the Box Tops program by General Mills.  Participants use the app to scan receipts to earn money for Dooley.  「Box Tops」（General Mills社）マークを集めるための促進運動をします。参加者はAppを使用して、商品購入のレシートをスキャンすることで、Dooleyへ寄付をすることができます。

Directory/名簿                                       Each year, a school-wide directory of Dooley students is prepared and distributed to each family. This committee collects, organizes, and distributes the directory. 年に一度、ドゥーリー小学校の生徒名簿作成・配布します。

District Citizens’ Advisory Committee (DCAC) / 学校区の指導委員会                                          Representatives from Dooley PTA participate in this District 54 School Board committee aimed to increase communication and establish citizen involvement at the school and district levels. 54区の教育委員会のミーティングにドゥーリーPTAの代表として参加、区とドゥーリー父兄の情報交換等の架け橋となります。 Time commitment: Monthly DCAC meetings during the school year (second Thursday at 9 a.m.) 月例ミーティング：毎月第2木曜日９AMより

Donuts with Dads/パパとドーナッツの日       ☺ ☺              Help our students thank the important men in their lives by sharing a special complimentary breakfast on a school morning.  お父さん・おじいちゃん・おじさんなどとドーナツで朝食を摂りながら、生徒達が感謝の気持ちを表すイベントのお手伝いをします。

Elementary Scholarship/小学校奨学金                         Develop application guidelines for the STC summer program scholarship program, distribute applications, and turn them in to the district offices. The chair will be asked to evaluate a portion of the applications. シャンバーグ・タウンシップ・カウンセル（STC）が夏休みの間の小学生サマープログラムのために支給する、奨学金の申し込み・審査をします。

Father-Daughter Dance/パパと私のダンスパーティー                        This is an annual event held in the evening for fathers and daughters. Dinner and fun times are promised and a photograph of the “couple” is included. 女子生徒とお父さんが参加する「パパと私のダンスパーティー」の企画・運営します。「カップル」の写真を撮ったりします

Fun Fair/ファンフェア Fun Fair is a family event for Dooley parents and students to enjoy together. Fun Fair events held in past years have had different themes and activities. ファンフェアというファミリーイベントの企画です。様々なテーマのもと、ゲームなどで楽しめる秋祭りのようなイベントです。

Health & Safety/健康と安全                                           Assist the school nurse during vision and hearing screenings and help at the district blood drive. 保健の先生が、視力検査と聴力検査をするときのお手伝いと54区の献血のためのボランティアが主な活動です

Membership/メンバーシップ                                Every teacher, staff member and parent affiliated with Dooley School is encouraged to join the Dooley PTA. This committee collects dues, registers members, and works with the PTA treasurer to pay state and national dues. 生徒保護者及び学校教職員等、ドゥーリー小学校関係者すべてにPTA会員に登録して頂く事をお願いしています。この係は、入会を奨励し、会員カードを作成、会費管理をします

Nominating Committee/選挙管理委員会                            The nominating committee seeks qualified nominees for each board officer position. The nominating committee reports a slate of nominees at a PTA board meeting. 次期PTA役員を選びます。

Photographer /記録係                     This is a fun job! Throughout the school year, the photographer takes photos of Dooley students during class time and at PTA events for the Dooley yearbook. とても楽しい仕事です！学校行事でのカメラマンのボランティアです。年間を通して、学校活動中およびPTAイベントの写真を撮影し、イヤー・ブックやその他の発行物に使用します。

Reading Recognition/読書奨励                         Plan and organize reading recognition program(s) throughout the school year. It’s a great way to promote reading among the Dooley Community.１年を通して、読書奨励イベントを企画・運営します。

Recess Equipment/クラス遊具・備品管理                   Inventory recess equipment in each class and buy any needed items, such as balls, jump ropes and board games. 昼休みに生徒が使用する用具の確認・管理の仕事です

Reflections/リフレクション                                       Students can submit artistic entries (literature, art, photography, dance, music) to their local PTA and be recognized at the national level.  Entries are due in mid October.生徒の芸術作品（絵画・詩等）を国のPTA委員会主催のコンテストに出品します。１０月上旬締切。

School Picture Day/スクール・ピクチャー・デー                 What a wonderful way to capture school memories! This committee coordinates with staff to plan and run Picture Day and to take those precious individual portraits. 写真撮影日の企画・運営に携わります。

Science Fair/サイエンスフェア                    Spark student interest in the sciences by having an event at which students can show their creative science projects. サイエンス・フェアの企画・運営します。サイエンスフェアは生徒達が科学の実験・研究を発表するイベントです。このイベントにより子供達により科学により興味・関心を持ってもらうことを目的としています。

Spirit Wear/ドゥーリー・オリジナル・グッズ                    At the start of school each year, a new crop of Dooley shirts and jackets pop up. This committee finds a vendor, organizes orders, and distributes Dooley spirit wear. 業者との交渉・注文管理等オリジナル・グッズ販売のボランティアです。

Talent Show       All Dooley students are invited to showcase their talents in a school-wide talent show.年に一度、希望者が自分の得意技を披露します。個人芸・グループ芸共に大歓迎です

Treat Cards/トリート・カード                 Twice a month, students can purchase treats during lunch. Parents can purchase punch cards or they can send cash for treats are priced between $0.50 and $1.00. Chairperson plans the treat menu, buys the snacks, and works with volunteers to distribute treats. 月2回（第1・第3木曜日）のランチタイムに生徒がスナックやスープ（スープ販売は冬季のみ月１回）が購入できる「Treat Day」を企画、運営します。生徒は、Treat Card（プリペイドカード）または現金にて購入することができます（１品５０￠～＄１）。この係はスナックメニューの決定、購入、販売、トリート・カードの販売・管理します。

Teacher & Staff Appreciation/教職員感謝週間                              Dooley teachers and staff do so much for our children, and we in turn enjoy showing our appreciation during the first week in May (in conjunction with Teacher Appreciation Day). This committee is always looking for volunteers and new ideas. 先生・職員の方々への日頃の感謝をこめて、感謝週間（通常5月第１週）においてイベントなどを企画・運営します。斬新なアイデアを随時募集しています。

Translation/翻訳                          Help parents and members of the PTA communicate and get the information they need. Primarily, this will be English to Japanese translation for the PTA website and newsletters. Other languages could be added as needed and as translators in our community are available. 保護者とPTA役員の連絡を円滑に行うため、PTAのウェブサイトやお便りを翻訳します。現在は日英翻訳のみですが、必要に応じて他の言語も検討しています

Social Media/ウェブマスター                                            The Dooley PTA social media, such as Facebook and Instagram, is the place to go for the latest PTA information, forms, special events information, and newsletters. We need volunteers to keep the information current. FacebookやInstagramのPTAページでは、PTAに関連する情報が一覧できるサイトです。ボランティアの方は、それぞれのPTAページに情報をイベント等の掲載いただきます。

Yearbook/イヤー・ブック                                                      A school yearbook, which contains class, teacher/staff pictures as well as pictures of clubs and special events, is put together and distributed by the yearbook committee. イヤーブック（アルバム）は、教職員、全生徒、クラブ、学校イベントの写真が掲載され、学年末に配布されます。一年を通して、イヤー・ブックのための写真を収集し、イヤー・ブックに載せる作業をします。
