Duanesburg Central School District is always looking to expand their team with dedicated professionals who are looking to make a difference in the lives our students.

Open teaching positions at DCS are posted to the On-Line Application System for educators (OLAS). Applicants who do not have access to a computer, or who need assistance in the application or interview process, may contact Celeste Junge at (518) 895-2279.

Non-instructional positions will typically be listed here, on the employment page of the district website.

Substitute Teachers and Substitute Teaching Assistants:

The district is continually hiring substitute teachers and substitute teaching assistants.

Teaching Assistants and Teacher’s Aides:

Certified teaching assistants start at $18/hour. (minimum of an associate’s degree). Teacher aides start at $15.20/hour (minimum of a high school diploma).

Student Tutors (all grade levels):

The Duanesburg Central School District is interested in building a network of in-person tutors who can support students who are temporarily out of school for one of several reasons. Currently, the district is seeking a tutor for one middle school student awaiting a special education placement. The district rate for tutors is $36.50/hr.

Bus Aide/Monitor for Regular Runs and Substitutes

Salary: $15.00 per hour

Location: Transportation Department

Basic functions: Individual will supervise students who ride a morning and afternoon bus and/or local runs to assist the driver with students

Qualifications: High School Diploma (training provided)

Employment Information:  Monday through Friday (all school days); The selected applicant will be subject to fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation, a pre-employment physical and drug test
