Innovation, Design, Engineering, Advanced-Manufacturing and Automation

The IDEAA Partnership is a Health & Science Innovations workforce development initiative, and a cross-sector partnership dedicated to the implementation of a comprehensive pipeline that attracts and prepares new talent to meet the needs of employers with engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing operations; through hands-on workshops, courses, certification curriculum, credentialing, project based learning and practice opportunities. Program objectives:

  • Motivate and train high school students to become innovators in fields of Innovation, Design, Engineering, Advanced-Manufacturing, and Automation.

  • Create an environment of innovation and creativity among participants.

  • Promote the importance of networking and teamwork.

  • Generate new concepts, ideas, and technologies for the development of new products and services.

After graduating from the IDEAA Summer Program, students will be eligible for various internship opportunities provided by industry partners throughout Central Indiana. All IDEAA Summer Program Graduates can count on the guidance and support of Health & Science Innovations during their academic career, and are regularly invited to STEM and social events throughout the year.

Engineer engineering

Partners include DirectEmployers Institute, CAE-net.com, First Maker Space, and Maker Youth Foundation. This initiative is supported by industry partners and philanthropic individuals who invest in education and workforce development.

Who is Eligible?

Students who have at least completed 8th grade and are between 14 and 17 years old. Preference is given to students who have taken at least one design or engineering class and who are going into 11th or 12th grade.

2024 Program dates: July 8 – 19, 2024

Registration Fee: $50 per student
Regular Tuition: $950 per student
Out of State Tuition: $1,900 per student

When they apply for either program, they can enter this code to receive the discounted tuition. The discount code can be used once per application, but if applying for both programs, it can be applied to each.
