REACH Parent Group (a committee of the D205 PTA Council) is a parent group dedicated to supporting gifted and talented programs (grades 3-8) in District 205 and encouraging higher level educational opportunities for ALL District 205 students. For more information about the REACH Parent Group, please visit our website. Please note, you do not need to have a student in the REACH Program in order to attend our meetings or to participate in this group.

(The REACH Parent Group met on Thurs. 4/11/24 from 7-8pm at the Elmhurst Public Library. We discussed plans for next school year. Meeting attendees RSVP'd via the short form below, and we are still using this form as a participation survey for the 2024-25 school year.) The REACH Parent Group cannot exist without your participation. Are you interested in participating in the REACH Parent Group in the 2024-25 school year? Please check as many boxes as you would like. (This is not a firm commitment. We are just gauging preliminary interest.)

As a Co-Chair - helping to plan/lead meetings & communicating with the Administration, preparing a monthly newsletter.

As a Co-Representative to the PTA Council, taking turns attending a monthly meeting on the 1st Tues. of each month of the school year (except for Aug. and Jan.). Meeting times are 1-1.5hr. at the D205 Building)

As a Website Coordinator - updating our website monthly (15-20 mins).

As a Co-Secretary - taking turns to take notes at our meetings, then sharing them with Co-Chairs.

As a Treasurer - keeping track of the schools' use of our budget, reporting back to the Co-Chairs

As a Communications Coordinator - posting our weekly/monthly blurbs to social media.

As a School Representative - including weekly blurbs into your school's PTA newsletter, coordinating with your school's REACH teachers regarding classroom supplies and enrichment opportunities, reporting to your school's PTA on REACH Parent Group activities.
